Spring Chicks Box Card
Hello crafty friends and welcome to the PPP Blog! It’s Leica here today with an Easter box card, featuring the new Scallop Box Card Die and the cutest chicks from the Spring Chicks Stamp Set. We have been asked about this box card die a few times and finally it’s available. YAY! I love that this box card folds flat and fits in an A2-sized envelope.
For my card, I cut the Scallop Box Card Die pieces in white cardstock. I assembled it by folding the perforated tabs and gluing them onto the main piece. For the scallop panels, I ink blended the back scallop panel with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink, the inserts are ink blended with Twisted Citron, the side panels are inked with Dried Marigold, and the front scallop panel is ink blended with Kitsch Flamingo. I then sprayed some water for an oxidized effect. Once dry, I stamped the “Happy Easter” sentiment on the front scallop panel of the card. This is from the Spring Jar Stamp Set.
I then stamped, colored and cut the images from the Spring Chicks Stamp Set. Here are the colors that I used:
Greens – Copic G05/02/00
Oranges – Copic YR18/16/15
Pinks – Tombow 743/703/800
Violets – Tombow 633/603/660
Yellow – Copic Y18/15/13/11
Finally, I added some white gel pen highlights on the images and glued them onto the inserts of the box card. Make sure to share your cards with us on social media #prettypinkposhstamps.
Thanks so much for stopping by today and I hope that I’ve inspired you to make a box card.
