Happy Hanukkah

Hi friends, Jeanne here! The holidays are the perfect time to send cards to family and friends to remind them that they are dear to your heart.  It’s a small gesture to let them know that you are thinking of them and wish them good health and cheer. I have a few friends that don’t celebrate Christmas – instead they are celebrating Hanukkah! Doesn’t 8 days and nights of celebration sound amazing? Ok.. so a little jealous here! But seriously, of course I want to respect and celebrate their faith and send them my best wishes with a card that is appropriate for them.

Pretty Pink Posh: Happy Hanukkah

This Hanukkah card starts with a panel of white card stock inked up with Tumbled Glass Distress ink.  Next, I adhered the Leaves and Berries stencil over the panel and applied some Salty Ocean, Peacock Feathers and Blueprint Sketch ink.  I gave the stencil a liberal splatter of water before peeling it off for a good cleaning.

NOTE: I use Pixie Spray light adhesive to keep the stencil firmly in place for clean inky images.

I stamped the Happy Hanukkah sentiment on white card stock and cut it with the smaller Scallop Circle die cut.  The open window style die makes it easy to center the sentiment perfectly.

I stamped the menorah in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it with Copic Markers. The coordinating die cuts make this a snap to cut out.  I love that the flames are solid stamped images. I stamped mine with yellow ink and added highlights with a Copic Marker.

Wishing you many blessings  – may the gifts of love, peace and happiness be yours!
