New Year Confetti

Where has the year gone? It seems like it was just yesterday that I was saying hello to 2013, and now it’s coming to an end. This year has been full of ups and down, mountains and valleys, joy and sorrow….while it’s been a less than ideal year health-wise, it’s also been a year of new chapters. I’ll dive into that more in tomorrow’s blog post.

I have never really been one to make many new year cards, but I couldn’t resist this year. The main reason? I was so inspired by all the gold confetti in the Pretty Pink Posh Shop, I had to create something fun and festive to show it off!

I thought the Mama Elephant Flashy Letters set was perfect to create my sentiment. Don’t they scream par-tay to you? I didn’t want to make it all bold letters, so I added a touch of my handwriting and topped it off with the adorable Dainty Bow die. (I’m seriously in love with this die!)

I’ve received some questions on how I adhere my sequins and confetti. I personally use Crystal Lacquer. It comes with a fine tip that makes adding a dab of adhesive really easy. I thoroughly dislike getting my hands dirty while crafting, so this is the ideal option for me.

Other options: Glossy Accents, Designer Dries Clear Adhesive, or Medium Matte.

I hope that you’ll stay tuned to the blog all this week….I’ll have another post tomorrow and then later on this week, I’ll be announcing my very first PPP design team and also introducing new products to the shop!

  1. LOVE that confetti! Here’s a thought: how ’bout punching holes in the black paper and mounting it over a piece of gold or silver paper. I did that with a Christmas tree stamp that I punched and mounted over red foil paper for the ornaments. It also worked for a Christmas wreath.

  2. Love, love, love this Paulina! I couldn’t be more happy for you…I hope that this happiness continues in 2014! I think you are super talented, and I think your style will continue in your new shop! PPP Design team…that’s exciting too!

  3. Love, love, LOVE this! Paulina, this is one of my all time favorites of yours. Can’t wait to see what you have in store for us this year…it’s certain to be amazing. :)
