Fresh Summer Roses + GIVEAWAY

Do you ever see a stamp set and fall in love instantly? That’s what happened as soon as I saw the sketches that Nami did for what is now the Solid Rose Accents set {that just released today over at DeNami Design}. The rose captured  my heart and I knew the possibilities with it would be endless. I have definitely found my new favorite stamp set!

I wanted to go use some bright and happy colors and chose  melon/ berry colors as my base. After playing with these roses, I had to restrain myself from going out in search of flowers these colors!  I’m such a sucker for fresh cut flowers, especially ones in pretty colors!

You may have noticed that I faintly stamped the roses on my main panel. Since I didn’t have any good light colored inks that matched it, I did the tried and true stamp on scratch paper/ stamp on panel trick. I haven’t done this in ages, but it got the job done for this project!

I love so many types of flowers, but I guess when it comes down to the nitty gritty of picking just one, I’d have to say roses are my fave; I could stare at them for hours – they’re so gorgeous! Great card you have there today, and thanks soooo much for the chance to win the stamp set for it!!!

  3. That’s a hard question as it seems to change with what’s blooming at the moment. But I really love the look of big bunches of cut flowers. I know that’s not a flower per say, but love the colorful bunches in an old mason jar.

  7. My favourite flower is roses, does matter the colour. My favourite rose to grow is any type of David Austin rose since they have such beautiful scents.

  8. Gosh – that is a tough one – my favorite flower? I love all flowers, but I think my favorite is the tulip.

  9. I don’t really have a favorite – any flower that is bright and cheerful. I’m not fond of dark colored flowers. I love the reds, oranges, pinks, and yellows. If I had to choose just one flower I guess it would be daffodils or tulips since they are the first ones to appear after a cold cold winter. The first signs of spring, woo hoo.

  10. This is a beautiful card Paulina. I like the soft, stamped-off roses in the BG especially. Reminds me of wallpaper from a bygone era:) This may just be one of my favorite stamp sets as well! (my all time favorite flower is Queen Anne’s Lace (yes, it’s a weed).

  12. How are you?? Hope you’re doing much better! But favorite flower is a tough question! I love flowers! I guess I’d have to say the hibiscus because it seems a bit exotic! (Even though I can grow them with my black thumb!) I instantly liked this stamp set in the sneak peek so I’m sure it will make it home one way or another eventually!

  16. I love the smell of lilacs! There are couple of trees on my street and I can smell them a house or two down before I get to them, yummm!

  22. What a great card and the roses are so pretty (I still do that stamp trick quite often, hehe)!! Yup, endless possiabilities for that little set! My favorite flower is the peony…I have 2 large bushes in my yard that were taken from my Mom’s bush that’s over 40 years old!! The huge blooms and fragrance are just to die for :)

  33. YES! This is beautiful! I almost ordered this with my winnings from the last 10 minute craft dash, and ended up going with the peacock feathers instead, and adding a sentiment set! Would be so fun to win this! I think my favorite flower right now is lilacs – LOVE how yummy they smell in the springtime!

  37. Roses! I have a ton of them around my house including a large trellis over my garage doors and the back door. They are just lovely when they are in bloom. I like hydrangeas, too.

  43. I love so many flowers! It’s pretty much impossible to choose one! But if I HAVE to, I guess lavender. I grow it so I love how it looks, smells, I buy the scent in bath products, the whole 9 yards. I don’t think another flower means as much. Oh, I have several stamps too!

  54. How pretty! I like the floral cluster with this frame. Lilacs are my favorite!! Delicate, fragrant and the prettiest shades of blues and purples. Although the white are simply gorgeous too and they happen to smell the best!!
