Shine Bright + Sequin Giveaway!

I think I need a nickname having to do with sequins- I cannot get enough! It seems like no matter how much I try to create cards without them, they somehow make a way onto my creations. I am hopelessly and utterly addicted.

It’s that time again…..GIVEAWAY time! As promised, I have another sequin giveaway and I’m thrilled to say that this one is being sponsored by Neat & Tangled!  I picked out five of my favorite sequin colors {do you realize how hard this was….it’s like picking a favorite child!} and Danielle graciously provided them as the giveaway.

Seeing as there’s a giveaway, I thought it appropriate to share a card showcasing the colors the lucky winner will be receiving. All you need for this cutie are some star dies, sequins and a sentiment, easy peasy!

For those new to my blog, in case you need some inspiration on sequins, I have lots to share. I debated on the easiest way to share all of the links and decided creating a Pinterest board would be the way to go. Click here to all of my sequin creations.

  1. I LOVE your sequin creations and you have, indeed, passed your love of sequins down to me and I’ve become obsessed. I wish I had a decent camera and could even figure out how to do a blog so I could show you some of my cards before I send them off to friends! Thanks for inspiring me.

  2. Another sparkly little lovely Paulina! I like the colors you picked as your faves, the mint is beautiful! I have a sequin card over at Precious Remembrance today!!!

  7. I don’t do Facebook or Twitter (still in the dark ages, I know!), but I do already follow in e-mail (hopefully this doesn’t send me 2 e-mails) & I’m now following you in Pinterest. I do need to figure out Pinterest better. I’m barely using my sequins which I’ve had for over 10 yrs (this look way nicer!) so I love having access to your inspiration–like today’s card which I love! Thanks for a chance at the giveaway!

  8. fabulous cards Paulina, or should I call you Shiny?! :) I haven’t boarded the sequin train yet, but it isn’t because I don’t want to. i will! :) Thanks for the chance to win too!

  9. Okay, Sequin Queen…what is your secret for adhering so neatly? I was so excited when I found some sequins in a Marth Stewart Crafts embellishment kit in my stash. I added them to a layout but I must admit I was having a hard time with those litte bitty pieces. I think I had more adhesive on me then my layout. Lol. I do like that way they look and will try again.

    1. Hi Lynn! Oh my goodness, LOVE the nickname! :)

My “secret” for adhering for large areas (like backgrounds) is ATG tape. I roll it out onto my cardstock and then apply my sequins. It holds them really well and for large areas, I find this to be the best. When I used just a few sequins here or there, I use Crystal Lacquer with the tiny applicator tip. It permanently adheres it and with the tip, it doesn’t go everywhere. Another idea: there are crafting tweezers available (I don’t own one, but I know they’re out there), that you can use to help with placing the sequins.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions and I’ll do my best to answer them!

      1. thanks! I will give those ideas a try. Glad you liked the nickname, I meantit as a compliment! I just read the FB post and it gave me a chuckle! I’ll try to remember to post a link when I post my layout next week.
