Belated Birthday Wishes

Happy Wednesday!

I don’t know about you, but I am very excited that it’s almost the weekend. I don’t know if it’s my workouts or what, but I’ve been super tired lately. Hoping to catch up on some sleep on Saturday….I’ve been staying up way too late!

Today I have a card that was a reject from a recent publication call spoke too soon…it got picked up!!. I had high hopes for this one, but I guess it wasn’t meant to be. This card features two very classic DeNami Design stamps: the Decorative Flourish and the Decorative Crest Circle. Love these two together!

My friend, Ashley Cannon Newell, recently had a card featured on the Paper Crafts website using the Decorative Crest Circle. After seeing that, it prompted me to pull it out again. (Thanks, Ash!)  Isn’t it awesome how one stamp can look completely different when used by different designers?

Here you can see that I added a few Black Rhinestones to the flourish. I think it’s the perfect finishing touch! Possibly elegant enough for the recipient to accept a belated birthday card. :)

You all are so fabulous- thanks for the influx in comments lately! I’m LOVING them!!

  1. Fabulous card, Paulina! LOVE the look of the layered scallops on top of the doily and that little flower in the center of the bow!!

  2. Such a pretty combination of goodies! I totally think this could be a wedding card too, so fancy.

  3. Congrats! I got to see the card in my email before you pulled it. I can’t believe they wouldn’t want to publish that beautiful card. It’s so elegant, it would make anyone forgive you for sending it late!

  4. SO glad I got to see it this morning, pays to get up early. Even more excited to see it in print. I knew it was a good one.
