You all know how to bring a smile to my face. I seriously love reading the blog posts that are submitted for the 10 Minute Craft Dash. Hearing the behind-the-scenes stories is my favorite part about the challenge. There have been quite a few posts where I have literally laughed at loud- you all make me feel like I’m right there with you! If you ever have a funny story that has to do with my challenge, feel free to blog it!

There are two more days in the 10 Minute Craft Dash #10 and I have one last card to share using this color palette. I must say that seeing all of the beautiful entries definitely inspired me for this card. I wanted to push myself and decided to stamp my own patterned paper within the time limit. My life saver? Colored ink pads!

Sweet Birdhouses

I just came from leaving comments on the latest 10 Minute Craft Dash #10 entries. I am so excited to see many new names already popping up for this challenge. It’s a dream of mine to bring together creativity and people from all across the globe and I’m thrilled that my challenge is doing this. If you haven’t entered this challenge yet, don’t worry, you have until Saturday!

Since I love these colors so much, I wanted to play with them again. I pulled out my Wplus9 sets, Folk Art Florals and The Birds & The Bees. Both must-haves in my book!

This color combination is so fresh and versatile. Since I created a Valentine’s card last time, I thought I would go for an everyday card this time around. This year I’ve been trying to be better about sending out cards to friends, so stocking up on my everyday cards has been helpful.

10 Minute Craft Dash #10

Ready for a brand new 10 Minute Craft Dash? I am so glad that you joined me today- not only is this the first challenge of 2013, it’s also the color palette that a previous 10 Minute Craft Dash winner picked!

Seeing as we are less than a month away from Valentine’s Day, I thought I would create a lovey dovey card with these colors. I just love how versatile these colors are together! I could see all sorts of cards being made with these colors- birthday, thinking of you, wedding, baby….. the list could go on and on!

Are you ready? TOMORROW will start the first 10 Minute Craft Dash challenge of 2013! Do you remember back in December when a lucky winner had the opportunity to pick an upcoming color palette? This will be the challenge where you can see the colors she chose! Last Call for DT Applications!

Hi all!

I wanted to send out a little reminder about the 10 Minute Craft Dash DT call. While I’ve received enough entries to last me quite a while, I didn’t want to leave anyone out. If YOU would like to submit your application, the deadline to submit is TOMORROW, January 13th, 12 pm PST!

Remember, those who are accepted will get to be a part of the very FIRST DT for the 10 Minute Craft Dash. How fun would that look on your design resume?

Thank you to everyone who has applied so far. I have a special folder for all of my applications and I must say, it’s packed FULL of beautiful creations. This is going to be a tough decision and I’ll definitely have to call in for reinforcements to help me make the final decision.

10 Minute Craft Dash DT Call

It’s true…..after many requests, I will be opening up a DT call for the 10 Minute Craft Dash! The Craft Dash has grown leaps and bounds and I’m hoping in 2013, word about the challenge will continue to spread. I always love seeing new names & faces in the entries!

I am looking for a small group of crafters who will promote the challenge and provide inspiration for each new challenge. In return, you’ll get lots of exposure to your blog and you’ll get to meet some amazing blog friends along the way!

* Term will be February- June 2013*

10 Minute Craft Dash + Eastridge Youth

I have a fun post to share with you all today. As my regular readers know, I’m a leader in the high school group at my church. I absolutely LOVE my students and the leadership team I’m blessed to work with. I haven’t been as active, since the accident, but I am {hopefully} on the way to becoming a regular again.

To celebrate this special season, today we changed up the normal routine in Life Groups. I’ll be talking about one specific activity that happened…..building gingerbread houses!

I was introduced to the group as the special guest judge for this activity, apparently having a craft blog qualifies me for this task. Since the other leaders know I run a challenge here on the blog, they decided to incorporate this into the gingerbread house decorating. Dozens of high school students, gingerbread houses, competitiveness and a time limit= a hilarious sight.

I forewarned them and said that I see entries from ALL over the world, so I wasn’t going to be easy on them. :) Detailed work, colors, team-work were the main themes I told them I would be judging on. And with that, they were off….

It’s true, I chose one of the guy groups as the winner. Their creativity in using the box to make it tall and the fact that added the trees for scenery was impressive. Add to that they had music playing from a phone {for ambiance}, it definitely deserved the win.

I’m so excited about today’s challenge! Remember how I said I wanted to make December super fun for the Craft Dash? I put together an ultra talented group of designers in the last challenge and for this one I’m “teaming-up” with my friends over at the CAS-ual Fridays challenge! Both of our challenges feature a holiday theme, so one of your handmade creations can fit into TWO challenges. What’s even better, you could potentially win two separate prizes!

NOTE: their challenge starts at noon– only a couple hours away, but I wanted to be sure to mention that. :)

Just like the last 10 Minute Craft Dash challenge, there isn’t a specific color palette. The requirements? Create some sort of holiday goodness, stay within the 10 minute time limit* and post your time in your post.

* If you aren’t able to stay within the 10 minutes, you can still link up your item! While it won’t quality for the winners spot, it might still be featured in the favorites!
