This week has been GORGEOUS here in Washington. I’ve worn shorts every. single. day and might I add, it was/ is fantastic. A while back, I wouldn’t have been seen in shorts- in fact, I didn’t even own any for the longest time. With my weight gain and lackluster self confidence, shorts was something that I definitely didn’t feel comfortable in. Now that I have lost a lot of the weight, I am starting to gain back confidence. Granted, I don’t look how I would like to look (stretch marks and cellulite), but I figure this is as good as it’s going to get with what I did to my body in the past.
It’s Thursday and that means it’s Thankful Thursday here on the blog. Ready? Let’s go!
the beautiful sunshine and the forecast for the next seven days!
my friends. Two of them are taking me out for my birthday tomorrow and I’m SO excited!
the girls in my Life Group at church- they are just so sweet!
my youngest brother. This little guy always makes me laugh and I just love seeing his face light up when I take him places or play card games with him. He’s growing up too fast.
I hope that you all take time in your day to think about what you’re thankful for. Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
In an effort to try and get back into a normal routine, I’m starting my Thankful Thursday posts again. Honestly, these last three weeks, it’s been hard to even really think clearly. With the devastating loss in my family, I have been on a roller coaster of emotions. My way of coping at the moment: throwing myself into work and I was eating uncontrollably. Thankfully, I believe I have that latter under control again.
Let’s get to my list of things for today:
the beautiful sunshine we had today. Sun always makes any day better.
my amazing and faithful co-worker and friend, Rebeka. SO blessed to have her in my life.
Target. Yes, the store. One stop shopping at its finest.
waterproof mascara. I never really used it before, but it has been a lifesaver recently.
work deadlines getting completed. Nothing like crossing things off left and right!
Oooohhh….remember the new series I started a few weeks back? I have someone lined up for the next one and I can’t wait to share who it is. The plan is to have it up on July 2nd!
Well, it’s off to go get some more things crossed off of the work to-do list. Until next time, I would love to hear what YOU all are thankful for.
It’s Thursday and that means it’s THANKFUL Thursday. My week has been difficult, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t things to be thankful for. I think that even in trying times, there is so much to be thankful for.
my family- they are here for me through thick and thin
AMAZING friends that I’ve met through my blog and Twitter
frozen yogurt (or froyo as I call it) I’m just a tad bit addicted to this tasty treat
SWEET emails from my blog readers
This week I have been particularly blessed with many emails from various blog followers. It honestly warms my heart when I get emails saying how you like a specific post, or how one gave you courage to try something new. I must admit, I’m not the gifted writer so I am beyond flattered and grateful that you all follow me.
Okay….now on a different note…
I’ve been wanting to do this for quite some time, but I just didn’t have the courage. Since I’ve been trying to go outside my comfort zone, I took the plunge. I’m not disclosing the content yet- you’ll have to come back on Monday for that! :)
Thank you so much for visiting my blog today. My question to you: what are YOU thankful for today?
It’s time for another Thankful Thursday post. This one is special because it lands on the exact day of my little brothers 12th birthday! Words cannot express how much joy and happiness he brings into my life. He is such a thoughtful guy and always has such a giving heart. We may have a large age difference, but we are pretty close. I love how he just randomly asks questions and tells me random observations. I cannot believe he is already 12- I remember the day he was born so vividly. The years go by way too quickly…..
Since it’s Evan’s birthday, I’m doing a listing of the things I admire in him:
I’m thankful that you have such a thoughtful spirit
I’m thankful that you take initiative in many different ways
I’m thankful that you are a hard worker
I’m thankful that you can make the family laugh
{picture when he was younger}
What about you? What are YOU thankful for this week?
Woah, four posts in one week? When was the last time that happened?! I have enjoyed finally getting back “on the wagon” in regards to blogging on my personal blog. Amazingly enough, I’ve also had time to create new cards AND start putting together my new craft studio.
It’s Thursday and that means it’s time for another Thankful Thursday feature. Here is what I’m thankful for today:
My new craft studio
I’ve grown to love fresh veggies & fruit
The opportunity to learn Photoshop (the web has so many tutorials!)
The beautiful sunshine we’ve had this last week
My parents. They are so full of wisdom, love and grace
Above I mentioned that I’ve made some new cards. Well, today on the DeNami blog, you can see one of them there! I really like this one, so I hope you’ll hop over there and take a peek. :)
I’ll be back tomorrow with a fun post that will feature a card, along with some other goodness. See you then!
Wow, has it already been a month since I started the Thankful Thursday feature? Time sure does fly by! I am actually really enjoying these posts. It helps me to really think about what I’m thankful for.
Here’s my list for today:
I lost another pants size! Woohoo!
My new (still unfinished) craft studio.
That I sold my camera- why did I wait a year to advertise it?!
My best friend, Kalyn. Still so thankful we had a weekend together!
Today when I stopped by the store to get my Starbucks, I saw these pretty hanging flowers. I just had to stop and take a picture. How pretty are these colors together?
I got off work early so I could get some crafty projects taken of. It’s so nice to have a head start on my weekend and get some things crossed off “the list”.
What are you thankful for today, blog friends? Can’t wait to see your lists!
As I type this, it’s pouring down rain, dreary and cold. *sigh* Word around town is the sun is supposed to make an appearance tomorrow- hoping this comes true!
Here’s my list of things I’m thankful for this week:
Got a “healthy” bill of health from the doctor!
I get to see my honorary niece tonight. SO excited!
The opportunity to be a leader at church with so many wonderful people
Gas prices are slowly going down! FINALLY!
Have you caught yourself taking the time to think about what YOU are thankful for today? I would love to hear what’s on your list!
Take care, blog friends…..I’ll talk with you soon.
It’s Thursday and that means it’s time for another Thankful Thursday here on the blog. As I’m typing this, I realize how often I live life day to day and sometimes forget to reflect on my blessings. I’m so glad that I started this little segment- it really forces me to think about what I’m thankful for (and express it).
Amazing and encouraging blog followers
My 4 day work weeks
Iced Carmel Macchiatos- my favorite Starbucks drink
My wonderful co-worker Rebeka who is full of wisdom and humor
I hope that today you’ll take time to reflect on what you are thankful for. I would love to hear what your list is today- feel free to post it if you feel like sharing. :)
You all are so sweet. Thank you to those who left a comment on my last post. I honestly was a little worried that you all would say “no” to making this a more personal blog. After all, I started this blog with the intention of it being solely crafts, with small tidbits of my personal life. It’s crazy how things can change.
I wanted to start a new feature here on the blog called Thankful Thursday. Recently I’ve just been reflecting on how much I have to be thankful for, so I thought I’d share some of these things with you. (It’ll also be a great thing to look back on.) Granted, sometimes they may be silly, but it’s okay to be grateful for silly things too!
My two sweet younger brothers who make me laugh
A boyfriend who loves me despite my many flaws
The sunny weather we have been having
That my health is starting to get stable again
I could go on and on, but those are the things I’m most grateful for today. What about you? What are you thankful for today?
