Poppy Seed Challenge #1

Saturday greetings to you all!

Last night I went to bed super late- thankfully I got quite a bit more done on one of my projects. Since I’m stressing about trying to finish all my commitments, I woke up really early and got some more things crossed off the list. Sometimes to-do lists can be really daunting…..

You may all laugh, but I needed to do something NOT on my list, so I created a card for Lisa’s Poppy Seed Challenge. Isn’t it a cute name? For each challenge there will be different “seeds” which must be incorporated into each card. For this first challenge, we were to use crystals, a flower stamp and light yellow. I had no trouble using crystals or a flower stamp, just had a bit of difficulty with the light yellow. I originally tried using light yellow ribbon but that didn’t look so great. I finally decided on light yellow ink for the flowers and a yellow butterfly. Since I don’t have a butterfly stamp to fit this die, I decided to add some outline dots and of course, more rhinestones!

Well, it’s time to take a nap before I head off to a wedding. Hope you were inspired!

  1. Oh, so pretty! Just order the fillable frame and die – can’t wait to get mine and start playing. Great job making that background with the frame.

  2. Paulina, this is a lovely card and you’re just going to have to get going on getting that butterfly dreams set so you’ll be able to go crazy with that die! ;) I love how you used the yellow ribbon here… it really sets it off. :)

  3. Stunning card! Love the yellow with black & white. And what a fun design–I definitely want to try that!

  4. Love what you did with the card. All the bling. And I love how you did a background with the FF stamp. I still haven’t gotten my order but I have totally saved your picture to use as inspiration! Thanks so much for sharing all of your beautiful creations.

  5. Very striking with the black and white & pop of colors. I am going to have to try the label as a background, so smart!
