Look Up Day #1

Happy Friday, sweeties!

Today is the day when I can begin to show you some samples I created featuring Look Up by Practicing Creativity. The ever-so-talented Courtney Baker designed these stamps to be so versatile- they are such a dream to work with.

When I first saw the set I knew that I had to play with the large hot air balloon first. For some reason, this balloon screamed to be paper pieced, so that’s what I did! Let me tell ya, it took a long time but the end result was so worth it. I L-O-V-E this card- I don’t know if I can part with it! One thing I love about photopolymer stamps: they can bend so the image can “form” to the shape that you want. The sentiment “the sky’s the limit” is normally a straight sentiment but I formed it to curve with the circle. Oh yes and I couldn’t play with the hot air balloon without adding the cloud stamp from Just Dandy! Love how easy it was to mix Courtney’s stamp sets…you’ll see more of that from me in the upcoming cards!

Lol… makes for lots of late nights, but you’re satisfied w/your design in the end… and it sounds like you definitely are happy with your design, as you should be! It’s SO fab!!! The colors are perfect! :) The balloon appears to really be floating…lol. Love it!
