Lost Creativity

Hi there!

It’s been a few days since I posted but it feels like a week! I have to admit, I feel guilty when I don’t post….I think there is something wrong with me. I know there are blogs that I visit daily where I’m super disappointed when they haven’t posted for a few days. (Yes, I know I must try to have a life.) I don’t know if anyone visits me that frequently- if you do, I’m so sorry I haven’t posted!
These past few days I have been majorly lacking creativity. Since I made 40+ cards in two weeks (in addition to working), I have been semi burnt out and my creativity has officially flown the coup. I hate when this happens! I really need some creativity again- there are lots more projects that need to be created! I have a sneaking suspicion July will be here in the blink of an eye, and I really am hoping to be on top of my game and have everything finished by then.
This card is my attempt at trying to create something new. I am so in love with Dawn’s new sets, but I just can’t seem to do them justice! I had a million ideas when I saw the previews and now they have dissipated into thin air. :( I think I may be in need of some time away from stamps, ribbons and buttons. *gasp*
Thanks for stopping by! Hey, if you do visit me often, I’d love for you to leave a comment. :) I still go through days when I wonder if anyone reads my blog…..

  1. You’ve done a wonderful job with Dawn’s new set! I’m really hoping I get mine in the mail today–Customs always takes things so long to cross the border. I sometimes find a little break from creating and simply observing (blog hopping, shopping, etc) is all I need to get the mojo flowing again. Your cards always inspire me!

  2. I check on a daily basis to see if you posted something… but don’t feel guilty about not posting. You know how often I post? I have my ups and downs. Cute card, love the blue color combo. Hoping your creativity finds you soon! I think we all have a time we feel “uncreative”.

  3. This card turned out beautifully, even if you didn’t feel very creative at the time! I know what you mean though, I’ve had that creative block myself lately. And it’s hard to keep going without those comments! I check your blog every day and I’m always inspired. Keep up the good work, but take time to rejuvenate, too!

  4. Lost your creativity?! P-SHAW!!! OK, seriously, just look at the background stamping. You can’t tell me that isn’t creative. I count at least three different stamps used in the stunning background. The color combo? Come on, this is a new one for me. Love it! And I love the graphic style you used in your coloring, almost comic art like with the color-blocking.

All of that said, I know exactly what you mean. It’s how I feel right after I finish release projects. But then there are all of these challenges and calls that I want to participate in…ah so it goes. ;o)

  5. This is pretty, Paulina!! Doesn’t seem like you’ve lost your creativity at all!! Take it easy and yes I do visit your log regularly:)

  6. :D

i think you get visited more than you know… and i love this card, but i understand if you need a break from all the creating. sometimes you have to rest and then come back to it.

  7. This is BEAUTIFUL, Paulina! Love the color scheme and that woodgrain/silhouette image!

You have been creating A LOT lately which can put a little strain on the mojo!!! I find that taking a day or so to just rejuvenate helps! Go shopping, hang out at your favorite coffee shop with a good book, go for a long walk/hike, enjoy time with friends—-you totally deserve a break every once in a while!!!

  8. I check in on your blog frequently- I love your crafting style :) Your creative chi will come back soon, hang in there!
