Color Cue Challenge #3

Friday greetings!

Today I have lots of exciting things planned- so excited to start off my day! Have lots of cleaning that needs to be done…but then the fun begins! I get to finally meet a Twitter/ blog friend today. I have loved getting to know this girlie and I’m so stoked that we get to meet! We’ll be meeting at a brand new scrapbook store! Yippee! Of course, I’m going to be mixing in a tad bit of business while I’m there- hoping this store will start carrying some DeNami products. :) After all of this, I’m going to a hot pot party. Now, I don’t know exactly how it works….I just know that my friends will be there and I’m told there will be lots of food!
I know that I mentioned I was having lack of creativity. Now, honestly, I wasn’t lying! I sat in my studio for two hours trying to come up with the last card. It was such a simple card- I can’t believe it took that long! Last night when I saw Dawn’s Color Cue Challenge and just *had* to try my hand at creating something. These are definitely not my “go-to” colors but I had to give it a shot. ;) Can I just say that I love Dawn’s stamps even more now that I have my Copics? So much fun to color and shade!
In closing, I want you all to know that I filmed my first tutorial. Don’t get too excited, it’s not that great. Last night I tried editing and that was a complete disaster. I’m using my mom’s video camera so I’m still learning the ins and outs of it. Next step: finding the disk the camera came with so I make it a file my computer can read! Eventually I will get it up. ;)

  2. I can’t find the words to describe this beauty! I absolutely LOVE the way you’ve layered the flowers, the depth you’ve created with some of the flowers behind, and then pulling petals to the front. Amazing depth and realism. You are definitely rockin those Copics!

  3. Ahhhh! Paulina, this card is FABULOUS!… I’m not kidding, it’s really good! And you did an awesome job with the coloring!
    AND guess what!… That exact “Woodgrain Silhouettes Additions” is actually one of the sets that I bought today! How funny! LoL… The other stuff I bought was from PaperTrey Ink yesterday. I ended up getting the Argyle set, along with some inks, ribbon, and one of the die sets.
    Oh, next week should be quite a good “mail” week for me. Haha!

  18. I am FLABBERGASTED by your cleverness…… Not in a million years would I have been able to make Dawn’s Iris type flowers jive with this challenging color scheme… BUT YOU DID! Wahoooo, to you! Fantastic job! I’m in awe of your creative vision, your fine coloring skills and the matter of factness about your journey! “Aw shucks!” You’re a cutie!

  20. This card is so so so beautiful! I love the amounts of yellow & grey you used, with just a hint of the melon. Ah, such a treasure to look at… I keep going back for another look!!!!
