Embellish Dimension Color Challenge

***This is my second post for today. Be sure to scroll down for my Wonderfully Whimsical card.***

Hey there!

Last night while I was doing my nightly blog-hopping, I saw that the new Embellish challenge was up. OH.MY.WORD. I am so in love with this one! The colors, cards by the design team and the prize is all amazing! For details on this challenge, click here.

I am so in love with anything stitched these days, so I had to bring out the Design Basics: Background 1 for this card. Dawn really did an amazing job designing this one- I can’t wait for future design basics! This time around I paired it up with some polka dots, a pretty leaf and a fab sentiment. Oh yes, I can’t forget to mention the ruffled ribbon! I started this technique a while back but hadn’t done it in a while. Now you may be seeing it a lot- it’s so much fun to do! :)

Be sure to enter my $50 gift certificate giveaway. It ends in a little over a week- I want to be sure everyone has a chance to win!
Stamps: Design Basics: Background 1 (WPlus9), Polka Dot Basics, Turning A New Leaf, Round & Round
Paper: Cream, Spring Moss, Dark Chocolate, Hawaiian Shores
Ink: Vintage Sepia, Hawaiian Shores, Spring Moss, Tea Dye Duo

Other: Labels 1 Spellbinder dies, Terracotta Tile grosgrain ribbon, moss rhinestones

  1. Oh, now I ove the hints of brown around the outside of the card…just kinda peeking through! Love the ribbon (again!) and the colors do work wonderuflly together.

  2. Oooo–love what you did with these colours!! I’m loving that ribbon technique too; just made a card last night with it. I’m working on my Embellish card right now–hope to have it up tonight! Oh yeah, love what you did with the leaf and rhinestones too!

  3. Love how you repeated the “dot” element throughout the card to pull everything together and grounded it with the brown. LOVELY!

  4. Just want to say what a great blog you got here!
I’ve been around for quite a lot of time, but finally decided to show my appreciation of your work!

Thumbs up, and keep it going!

    Cheers
