Organizing Your Embellishments + Giveaway
Hi, Friends! This is Caly and I’m really excited to share my new storage system for sequins, jewels, and all the tiny pretty things with you! I know this system isn’t new for a lot of people, but it’s new to me and it’s exciting and so rewarding to complete.
Previously, I was storing my sequins and jewels in the Craftmates Lockables XL 14 compartment units. While this is a beautiful system to store my sequins and jewels, I found adding new supplies difficult because I couldn’t easily rearrange the colors (because I love all things in rainbow order).
The Darice bead tray is sold 3 ways that are helpful for cardmakers – 82 piece (tray and lid with 78 “tiny” containers), 45 piece (tray and lid with 42 various sizes of containers), 2 piece tray and lid. I bought an empty tray to customize my own based on need and here’s a picture of what it looks like with the different sizes side by side for you.
A lot of people like the consistency of having tiny containers throughout the unit and almost all Pretty Pink Posh sequins and jewels fit into the tiny containers for me. If you don’t like the look of the bigger containers, you can spread the sequins/jewels/beads across more than 1 “tiny” container.
I love that with the new system, the containers are removable and you can rearrange at any time. I couldn’t do that with my previous system. The kits come with labels, but I used my Brother label machine to make labels and instead of putting them on the top where I think they’re intended to go, I decided to put them on the back.
I can’t stress enough how being able to move things around makes me so happy. There are always new colors and mixes to add to the ever-growing stash/collection so this system has been the best solution for that.
I sometimes use sequins or jewels as props – so this is also nice to be able to pull them out, use what I need, then put them away without disturbing a bigger storage unit full of other items.

I’ve seen these units used by others, thanks for explaining how it works. I find that I use gems, clear drops (various shapes) and confetti more often than sequins, so I’d love to see more of those.
I so want that storage tray, but it’s sadly pretty expensive in Europe… One day it will be mine though, one day! :-) I am recently obsessed with confetti style embellishments, and jewels, so anything in this category would be fantastic. There’s one important thing though – the mixes should have different sizes included, then they’re simply perfection! At least 3 different sizes would be desirable..4 or 5 would be a dream come true ;-)

I love all kinds & colors of beads, sequins & mixes!! Keep them coming!! I have mine in the Craftmates Lockables but after seeing this I need to rethink how I store these. These containers look awesome! I love the way you can move them around when you get new colors!

I absolutely LOVE PPP embellishments! You guys have the best! Although I love the dimensions of the more raised embellishments (larger drops and jewels), I find myself having to use the flatter ones (confetti’s and sequins) for a better look when putting cards through the mail. I would love to see more flattish (is that a word?) raised embellishments.
This is a fantastic idea! We all are looking for new ways to store things.
It is hard for me to imagine any embellishments that you do not already offer. If I was rich I would have them all. I especially love the solid ones that are not sequins. I love the solid look. Your colors are absolutely beautiful.

Wow, this looks amazing! I have a larger box that I keep sequins in but they are kind of sorted by like colors and not in their own compartment. This would be so handy as I have lots that are still in packages. Great idea!

Fantastic ! I’m still at the stage of endless packets held closed with pegs all dumped in a draw for safe keeping stage of storing all my tiny jewels & dots. This would most definitely tidy up the draw & make them all visable whilst keeping them safe. Great design. I’m all for neatness being stylish & easy to use. Thank you for sharing your inspiration.

Fantastic idea. All clear to see in a second, unlike my version of storing jewels etc currently. You do fantastic range of colours already, I like the mixed sizes in one selection, always works well. Any chance of more novelty shapes for occasions like easter, halloween, Xmas etc. Would love some candy canes or snowflakes in the shades you’ve got it possible x

What a fabulous storage system!! I have small ‘tic tac’ type containers, but it’s not always easy to get the sequins in or out. I love how your containers open up. Color-coding…yay!

I organize my sequins like this too. I like it because I only have to take the container out to use and find it so much easier to dump the sequins in a shaker card. Great post!!

This looks fantastic! I’m currently storing all my sequins in the sectioned cardboard insert that came inside my lego advent calendar this year, lol. At least I’m recycling!

It would be nice to see sequins and rhinestones in a mix and be self-adhesive. Due to required extra postage on “bulky” cards, I often do not use the jewels I would like to use. Comments regarding cards to soldiers indicate these embellishments often dislodge when “regular” adhesive-types are used. I love the size of the storage trays! I currently use small zip-lock type bags and resort to “dumping” them on the table attempting to locate the perfect color, etc. The trays appear to be easy to open — a wonderful plus!!
What a fabulous storage system for sequins and jewels. I have quite a collection of both from Pretty Pink Posh. They are in their original packaging and I store them in multiple storage containers. Would be fantastic to have them so organized. I am sure that any new combinations that Paulina comes up with will be fantastic and a “must have”.

Fabulous giveaway! All those mixes look so beautiful in those storage containers! My desire for future releases would be all of them – I love mixes and am starting to use them more and more on my cards and scrapbook layouts!
I love PPP embellishments. I really like the ones without holes. I make such a mess when glue seeps through the little hole.
I’ve been contemplating this system on and off for a while now. I have little storage bins of sequins and bits all over the place. It would be great to have them in one system that I can reorganize as the mood strikes!
As for mixes … any and all things purple!!! I’m also more a fan of confetti and shapes than of traditional sequins, but I still love them all!
I use any kind of colours but what I like best is when there is different sizes of jewels, or sequins in a mix. My favorite colours are in the blue/green range.
I like to store my embellishements in rainbow order and this tray would do a great job for me ;)

I love to see sequin mixes that contain round sequins of different sizes in complimentary colors. My favorite are those very tiny sequins that feel a little harder, easy to pick up and glue and work with, and they feel so nice!

I love this storage system! I always seem to reach for blues, neutrals and clear embellishments. Maybe the addition of some metallic beads in the mixes.

I also use this storage system and can say that I like it as much as you do. I get so happy just opening the lid and seeing all those gorgeous colors. And as you have discovered, adding a new color to your collection is so easy. I kind of enjoy the sound of rearranging those little boxes, and the process always reminds me of working a Rubik’s Cube!! As for new ideas, I seem to be drawn to those tiny, perfectly round, no hole, seed beads for my shaker cards. Might also enjoy some Christmas/winter items as long as they don’t just look like a blob of melted plastic on my cards. Wait, I’m typing to Pretty Pink Posh…never mind that last sentence!

I have this storage for my jewelry supplies and would love to have it for my sequins etc. I can’t think of any new ideas–you already have so many fabulous choices. i would say look at what came out new this year in craft supplies and make new mixes based on that.
I’ve had the Darice bead tray on my wish list for a long time! I love how it so beautifully organizes sequins keeping them individually accessible at a moments notice! Seriously beats keeping my growing Pretty Pink Posh sequin collection in the little bags with washi tape to keep them closed!

I have a few of these and they are fantastic, I store them vertically using a pot & pan organizer and label the sides by color. Can’t have too many of these.

I have this system and love it! PPP embellishments are my all time Favorite. I find I keep going back to the traditional sequin but I like to have 3 sizes so a mix of 3 sizes which included 2mm, 4mm and 6 mm would be wonderful!!

I love this storage system! I don’t have a ton of sequins, but the ones that I do have are in different places in tiny plastic zip loc bags, and I usually find them well after when I need them. Fantastic giveaway! I love the idea that someone recommended above for themed, shaped sequins. I would also love to see mixes with a wide variety of sizes — for example, a mix of glitter, seed beads, small sequins and larger sequins. I find these to be magical in shaker cards.

I like this system and am grateful for the chance to win one. I love sequins and the mixes for my shaker cards. Because I do not have a great storage system for them I limit what I buy. The ability to keep them easily in rainbow order is a real plus. I do reach for the sequins on my cards that are going in the mail simply because they are flatter than say pearls and rhinestones, yet they add such a pretty touch. You have such a great assortment at P.P.P., I really can not think of any suggestions. If I had one of these I would have to add to my stash.

I keep seeing people using the tray shown to hold all their sequins and have neem wanting to get one to store mine.
Ive tried so many different storage options and nothing has really sat well. I like to see what Ive got and little jars just dont fit nicely in a drawer. I like the look if this organiser and that you can tailor it to fit your needs.

Love this! I have my “collection” in assorted spice jars. They look pretty, but it isn’t very practical. This system looks like a great solution to an ever-growing assortment of sequins and micro beads.

What a great way to store sequins! I currently use a plastic box!! In my box I have lots of Pretty Pink Posh embellishments! I would love to win.
This system is a lifesaver for me! First heard of it here at PPP. Keeps pretty sequins organized, labeled, easy to use, with a minimum of space. Love this gem!! And love using it for my PPP gems!

When I think of things Iwould love though…rainbows of foil like sequins, or Matte? Sprinkles in shapes like stars, hearts, moons,diamonds, in a variety of colors would be cool also.

I would like flat (both in colour and dimension ) sequin mixes that appeal to groups of people eg.teens. men (silver, blue, gunmetal l etc. Wonderful storage solution.
We are “Two Peas in a Pod” so to speak as I too have the Craftmates system and not being able to rearrange them is a continuing thorn in my (OCD) side, yet I don’t have the budget to get the Darice system. I even think it would “fit” better for me from a storage perspective as as well. I am so happy & envious of your new system!

Wow! I’m 69 and just recently became a crafter. Who knew there was so much out there? I get so overwhelmed with the little things, so this is just amazing! I’ve seen these little containers sitting out while other contributors are making their videos and wondered where they got them. THANK YOU SO MUCH for sharing the knowledge of the helpful things!

I would love to see mixes that are more holiday specific with items mixed with sequins that depict the holiday.
I love these trays, but have always hesitated to buy one since it would “enable” me to fill it!
Wow I can see where this organize unit would be awesome. Yes I wouldn’t want the label on the front as I would like to see the sequins/jewels. I think you have every color out there and cant think of another color combo.. PPP has awesome blends. I keep mine in the plastic bags they come in and static is my hardest part.. This would be a much more convenient system than I am currently using. (I have all of the little bags they come in in a tin in rows. Not very convenient but it works for now.)
I cannot think of any new ideas for sequins for you that you haven’t already done. You seem to have cornered the market on beautiful sequins, IMHO!

My sequins and jewels are in their original packaging in a zip lock bag so I could really use this system. I would love to see more star mixes. I love to use starts in shakers for birthdays and congrats cards.

Awesome storage, I would love to have this. I would feel more efficient if I could organize my sequins with this unit.

What an incredible give away! This looks like a great storage system and wonderful way to store all my sequins and small embellishments. I like that the individual trays come out so you can take just what you need instead of having to carry everything with you. It doesn’t look like they would spill easily either. I don’t have a separate craft room so I like to collect my supplies for a given project and keep them together until the project is finished. This looks like it would be perfect for that. Oh my gosh, I think I’ve seen this for jewelry, for beads but I never thought of using it for sequins or brads & eyelets. I have tons of beads & cases for them but nothing for my sequins & brads & eyelets. I keep them in tiny bags for beads & I put them in a plastic bin just stacked one on top of the other. I can’t ever find anything! I am always looking for something to store them in & this would be perfect! Oh my gosh would I so totally love to win this? YES!

I have been longing for this exact storage system for a long time! It has been beyond my reach as my budget is very limited, and I do have a.system that fits, but is so cumbersome! I love this system, and have been waiting and waiting to be able to afford it! I know it will be exactly right for me!

That is the perfect solution to all of PPPs embellies. I am really liking the confetti lately. I like the idea that there aren’t any holes in them and would like to see them in more colors.
I love this storage unit for all my sequins and jewels! It has made life a whole lot easier when searching for “the right one”!
I absolutely love these trays for all types of embellishments and the fact that they’ come in different sizes!! I label mine just as you do — with a label maker. I thought one tray would be enough but after only a few months, find that I need another tray — love making shaker cards and using sequins and confetti for all kinds of applications!!!

I love this system. I have a very small craft room and would use this system for my colored rhinestones. Right now they are in small containers and take up an awful lot of space.

Great giveaway! I love the look of this system. Currently I have small screw top jars that are not the most user friendly. I’ve only just started my collection, and am looking forward to using the confetti style more. They are my current fave!
