Creating 2 Butterfly Cards with Different Techniques + Video
Hello crafty friends. It’s Lisa Mears here. Today I’m sharing two cards that I made using some products from the Pretty Pink Posh March Spring/Easter release.

If you would like to watch how I made my cards, then watch my video.

My first card features the Butterfly Shaker die set, Floral Background Stencil, and Smile Script die. I applied modeling paste to the stencil and then sprinkled the card layer with embossing glaze (Speckled Egg, Salvaged Patina, and Broken China). Next, I heat set the background. I used the Butterfly Shaker die set as the focal point of my card and turned it into a shaker. I added Sparkling Clear Confetti Mix to the shaker and Blue Sky Pearls to the top center of the butterfly. For the sentiment, I added the Smile Script die. I finished the card by adding the Sparkling Clear Confetti Mix to the center of the flowers on the stenciled background.

My second card features the Layered Butterflies Stencil, Butterfly Shaker die set, and Hugs stamp set (for the sentiment). I applied Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide Ink to the Layered Butterflies A stencil. I applied Candied Apple Distress Oxide ink to the Layered Butterflies B stencil. Next, I added clear embossing ink over the stencil, removed the stencil, added Saltwater Taffy embossing glaze, and heat set it. Next, I added Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide ink to the Layered Butterflies C stencil.

I die cut a Scallop Circle die from white cardstock and adhered the circle frame and center of the circle to the card layer. I die cut the Butterfly Shaker die set two times using teal cardstock. I added both layers of the butterfly die cut to the center of the scallop circle, only gluing the center of the butterfly. I did not adhere the wings to the card front which gives a beautiful dimensional look. I added the Sparkling Clear Confetti Mix to the center of the butterfly. I added the sentiment from the Hugs stamp set to the card.
Thank you so much for stopping by today. Have a wonderful day!
