Dream Big
Recently I’ve heard a saying that I’ve been thinking about a lot lately. “If your dreams don’t scare you they aren’t big enough”. When I first heard it, I dismissed it. Of course I have big dreams! Then I got to thinking, what ARE my dreams? What are my goals in life? Hmm, this question was a lot bigger than I had originally thought.
{pondering for a few weeks}
Of course I have the usual dreams of getting married and possibly having kids (which kind of terrifies me, if I’m being honest), but what are my other dreams? Yes, I had some other ones, but only a couple truly scared me. I suppose that’s a start….
Do you all have dreams, or maybe you’d rather call them goals? If so, I would love to hear them if you’re willing to share.
In closing, I want to encourage all of us to dream big. Our time on earth is short, we should make the most of it. :)
Have an awesome rest of your Wednesday. I’ll talk with you all later!
Wow, it’s a statement that makes you think isn’t it?
You already know my crafty dreams…and yes, they scared me!! One concured and a few more to go.
My other dream is pretty big and simply terrifies me worse than any monster under the bed could ever do. Hubby & I were only able to have one child and that was 22 years ago. We have been seriously thinking about fostering. We are still fairly young, barely over 40, and have so much love to give a child. However, it scares the heck out of us. Just so many variables…what if the child is adopted out, what if the child hates us…terrifying!! I know we need to quit asking ourselves “what if”, but easier said than done….
Paulina, this is indeed profound and inspiring. May we all continue to have big dreams and hopes, and may they all come true so we can conquer our fears!
On a side note, your blog posts have been really touching recently. Thank you for being so open and honest. You really ARE beautiful in soooooo many ways. You give back to all of us, not only with your crafty talents, but with your beautiful and inspiring words. Keep smiling that gorgeous smile, and keep the words of encouragement coming! They are so appreciated!
