Embellish Stripes Color Challenge
I hope that you all have had a great weekend and were able to get lots accomplished. This morning I had a training session at the gym, took a much needed nap and gots lots of crafting in. I made a total of five cards- I even made one for the Papertrey Blog Hop! Since I’ll be away at CHA this upcoming weekend, I didn’t know if I would get a chance to make anything. I’m so glad that I had some time to get creative and also retrieve some of my lost mojo! :)
Isn’t the Embellish challenge fun this week? I am so lovin’ all of the different challenges and also the new addition of some prizes! This week the colors were kraft, brown and purple {yikes!}. I always seem to have a hard time incorporating purple into cards- not a color in my comfort zone. I didn’t have the right purple inkpad, so I was only able to add some purple ribbon. However, I really love that it’s a neutral card with the added pop of color from the stunning Plum Pudding grosgrain ribbon.
The countdown begins for the CHA SuperShow! I leave in 4 days and need to start thinking of what to pack. I heard that it’s in the 70’s….can it really be?! I have gotten used to the gloomy weather of Washington- it’ll be nice to see some sunshine and warm weather!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Hope you were inspired!
Stamps: Three Line Border, Signature Greetings, Turning A New Leaf,
Paper: Cream, Brown Kraft, Dark Chocolate
Ink: Vintage Sepia, Tea Dye Duo
Other: EK Success border punch, brown rhinestones, Plum Pudding grosgrain ribbon, corner rounder
Yes I was inspired! I saw the Embellish challenge but couldn’t think how to incorporate those colors along with the stripes. Well you did a fantastic job with it! I just might have to pull everything out and try again. Thanks for sharing!
excellent job Paulina…seems that people either love purple or it is a yipes..I’m in the yipes group:)
Love your card…the PTI Turning a New Leaf set is one of my favorite…love how you used it on your card!

Excellent job! Beautiful card. Love how you paired the stripes with the leaf pattern. I’m working on my admission for this too! Love the colors and made a card for a sketch challenge using them.
Beautiful card! Yes, California has been in the 70s lately, according to weather.com it’s going to be in the 60s this week.
love that ribbon…gorgeous!!
VERY Pretty! I hate to “rain” on your parade, but the forecast is calling for rain all week, record breaking rain for CA & NV. So bring layers, and some shoes that are good in wet weather.
